A little history about Zona Nueva. The band was formed four years ago by Band Leader and Bongosero Jim Rosaly. It was his idea to make a band that could play different types of music and not be one dimensional. The bands popularity has risen because of this unique blend of music. The band plays Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia & Boleros and plays them all with equal passion.

Zona Nueva's 12 band members are actually the heart and soul of this incredible group, and come from different backgrounds from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Columbia, Cuba, Mexico and even the USA. It's this unique blend of different cultures and traditions that makes the musical flavors explode and give the band it successful sound.

Zona Nueva's pulse pounding rhythms have entertained crowds in excess of 35,000 people and have performed in some of L.A.'s elite clubs. Zona Nueva has performed for popular artists and recently received three musical awards.

Zona Nueva can currently be found performing at Mr. O's Night Club every Saturday night. The band's goal is to entertain people with the best music available, performed by musicians who love what they do!
