Maria Menozzi has been called, "One of the funniest women
to come out of the Midwest in 1000 years!"
Maria has always said the most valuable advice ever given
to her
was, "Don't pick at it." After that, it was, "Try
not to speak." Lucky
for us, she didn't listen to her therapist or her parole officer.
This funny lady is her hilarious self everytime she's onstage.
She biends observations on the everyday absurdities of life
with original
wit and insight, adding a kooky twist on relationships, family
and
electroshock therapy. She is winning her way into clubs across
the
country as one of the top female comedians.
Just a few of the places she has worked:
Patty's Basement, Orlando, FL
The Corner of Dalby and Ashton, Des Moines, IA
Deciduous Rock Formations, Sedona, AZ
Danny's Bar and Grill, Rosemead, CA
Sheldon's BarMitzvah, Bloomfield, Ml
Men's Room, Triamonte Ristorante, GA (oops! that wasn't comedy)
Maria's talents are abundant as they are versatile.
With her trusty 12-string guitar, Abner Biberman, her original
songs add musical
fun for everyone; including her biggest hits: "Small
Boobs in LA" and "Please Don't Make Me Eat Sushi."
Her own film, "The Adventures of Zoey,
Parts I and If is soon to
premiere in the Los Angeles area. "A Pain in the Basket
(Part I)" is
currently available for viewing on www.ifilm.com.
Maria is the founder and executive director of The Los Angeles
Women of Comedy, a nonprofit organization which raises money
for cancer charities of all kinds.
Every year, Maria produces and hosts "Giggle for Gilda's,"
a stand-up comedy benefit for Gilda's Club.
